When driving slowly down into Veranda Beach Resort, the Firerock Oasis Cottage is the first house on your right. It appears as a shining red oasis awaiting your arrival for family fun and a relaxing stay on Lake Osoyoos, in North Central Washington.

This three-bedroom, two-bath home is kept in pristine condition; providing you with every amenity you need for an enjoyable family vacation. The colorful interior and designer touches are seen in every room and corner of the home. Your host has provisioned your kitchen for all your culinary needs, plus outside BBQ. The furnished veranda and patio are especially delightful.

The living room, with its oversized furniture and windows, is a great place to relax and enjoy with the whole family. The fireplace adds a cozy feel on those chilly evenings. There is, of course, a TV with cable and DVD player (if you simply must!) and high-speed internet to connect you with “your world,” however; you might have more fun just lounging around together.

On the first floor, you’ll find the master suite with its king-sized bed as well as a second bedroom with two extra-long twin beds. A second-floor loft holds two more twin beds. With these accommodations and an additional sleeper sofa, the home sleeps up to eight people. For guest comfort, the linens are extra deluxe. Two well-stocked bathrooms should provide enough facilities for everyone.

The kitchen is fully outfitted, with basic cookware and flatware, perfect whether you’re using the huge dining room table or dining al fresco on that very inviting veranda! The patio invites you to people-watch, have a glass of wine enjoying the sunset, and on those clear summer nights, you can even enjoy the stargazing! Dogs are welcome with our standard per dog, per night fee.

Designed with a 1950s look, besides being picture-perfect, the cottages are well-maintained year-round with white picket fences, beautiful landscaping, and clean, quiet streets. You'll also find a shared pool, a hot tub and wading pool, shuffleboard, diner, general store, fitness center, community garden, and cut flower garden. Beyond the pool is fun-filled Lake Osoyoos. Bring your water “toys”--whether it’s a boat, inflatables, paddleboard, or sand bucket set--the beach beckons! Don’t forget your outdoor games, bikes and sunscreen.

Veranda Beach is a fun and family-friendly place to be--many guests come year after year, and some homeowners are lucky to stay all summer. Cars are parked in the back lot, so it’s almost void of cars, and it is a safe, enjoyable place to bike and walk around. Special activities are provided by an active HOA. On a sunny warm day, there are people everywhere, and the resort screams fun and vitality.

The resort itself holds a hot tub, marina, and playground for guest use. The fitness center is available year-round, and the outdoor pool is available as weather permits!

Nearby, Oroville is a small town that serves as a hub for vacationers in need of resupply, gas stations, or just a nice dinner out. There are scenic views from every part of the little town - of the valleys and the mountain peaks.
